Is this for real?
For someone with lots of money but no brains.
Apparently the seller thinks it is “reasonable”, guess we will have to wait until May 9th to see if a buyer is interested.

Good grief!!!
Can you imagine what it would be worth if Mellow Mike got his hands on it![:D]
total nut case

Great! The auction hasn’t ended yet!!
Where did I put my checkbook?
Oh, nurse! Nurse! Have you seen my checkbook? The one with the pink bunnies under my name, Napolean?
(I’ll bet she hid it from me! She ALWAYS does stuff like that to me. Like last week, I had my new deed for the Empire State Building and I was going to send copies to all the tenants when I raised thier rents, but now I can’t find it! If anybody knows where it is, I’ll pay a handsome reward…as soon as I find my checkbook!)
Darrell, over in the corner with the little wooden blocks, and quiet, very quiet…for now
LOL!!!
At first I thought it might be 1:1. Then I realized it was a model…
I think this guy must be on some good drugs. Wonder if he’ll share?
Somebody’s been eating the pipe mold.
one of two only known pieces, maybe about right to a dedicated collector.
for the rest of us, production units sell in the $30 range cataloged '60-'62
How much is that stamp with the upside plane on it worth???
wasn’t it valued at over a million dollars decades ago?
Bergie needs to incorporate drug screening…
The real question here, regardless of the seller’s claims, comes down to is this the real McCoy or simply a fake? Given that this supposed almost one-of-a-kind car is decaled (I gather the production run was pad printed or some such) it likely would be relatively easy to fake nowadays…and the documentation even easier!

While some pre and post war Lionel fetches high four digit $$$$ I don’t think that car is worth that ridiculous price.
I think the more money you have, the dummer you get?[xx(]
This whole auction made my day. Especially
woot for exchange rates! That means I only have to sell a few of my cars to buy this model train! But I think there’s something that I would rather spend my money on…a sense of proportion…
Somehow I don’t think the seller would accept my “best offer”, especially since I don’t even model O-gauge. To each his own…and for THAT price it will remain HIS own.
Tom
Yep! That’s for somebody with more money than brains, and very few brains. Looked in lionel collector’s book. It’s worth only a small fraction of that, about $500.00 at the very most!
