How to Build Small Model Railroads
very good book, if you don’t have the various back issue publications from which the articles are taken. i had already begun work on “Lots of Switching, Small Space” (published in MRP 2005) way before it appeared in “How to Build …” with NO mention that it was a reprint. so now i’ve got 2 copies of that plan and exact text… others i KNOW to be (uncredited) reprints & i suspect if i looked at all my collection of various issues, i’d find the rest. BUT if you DON"T have the earlier prints, this is a good compilation and worth the minimal expense to have them all in one place. SPECIAL ISSUE ---- YES; NEW MATERIAL ------NO. ======= take your choice. personally, i was disappointed, anticipating all new plans, not reprints from earlier publications. nevertheless, i guess i’m glad i popped the $ for it anyway.
