I just bought a Lionel 356 Automatic freight station and I do not know how to connect it. There are A, B, and C terminals underneith and it has a switch with A and B terminals. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I have a 356 station, Not sure, I dont rememeber, I had it hooked up for xmas, pretty sure 1 wire goes straight to transformer and the A and B go to the switch, Not sure, someone on here will give you the details. Mine was hard to get working right, carts move so slow, really gotta tighten them nuts on the roof. thanks.

Go to Lionel’s website, click on customer service, then click on owner’s manuals, type freight station in the search box, click on 71-4106-250 and you can download the manual.

A- goes to the switch
B-goes to the other wire on the switch and to the transformer
C-goes to the transformer
356 action should not be really slow and you shouldn’t have to super tighten the top finial screws. I get nice speed on my carts. You must really play around with the adjustment screws on the bottom and the finials on top. Takes a lot of patience but runs very, very well. Also cart finger pads might have to be replaced. Check 'em.
