HOW TO POST VIDEOS

How would I go about posting a video on-line using Kodak Easyshare or from my computer to Photobucket?

Ernie

If you have a Photobucket account, click on their link that says “upload video”. When it is ready, copy the link to it an post it here or wherever.

Once you upload a video to your favourite host site, you may only link to it. It isn’t the case with photos, obviously.

I am using FireFox, and for some reason it doesn’t complete the linking syntax when I place a URL in a post here. You will have to add the square brackets with url inside and a forward slash in front of the last url. That bit works for me when copying the syntax from photobucket, but it doesn’t work if I copy and paste from the web browser.

I use Photo Bucket and made the below photo as an example.

To put this photo in the forum, I copied and pasted the fourth option, IMG.

For emails, I use the Emails and IM link.

I use Firefox and a simple copy and paste works every time. No need to do anything else.

Figure out what you want for albums and do not move a photo from one album to another album. You can easily have so many photos under the album you start with that it will become difficult to find photos at times in your account.

It is Stupid to have to go through all that just to post pictures or videos. I signed up to Photobucket as per moderlmaker51’s instructions downloaed my images there, and I still can not get photos to post. Maybe I am missing something or have not figured out all the proper procedures yet. But I believe they should revamp their forum. We should just be able to add an attachment from are photo or video file like we do when sending emails, not go through the hassles of third party’s and trying to drag URL’s all over the place. This is 2010 wake up forum designers. I say this after spending a failurefull hour of trying to post a couple of photos.

Just my opinion, Truck.

Hi Truck,

I couldn’t agree with you more, I’ve been trying forever. Thanks for the come back. Have a good one.

It is not a big deal. I just bought some cheese to go with my whine and I had no problem posting videos and i am 70. You can do it if you really want to.

Hmm, most everyone doesn’t have a problem. You do and you want everything to change just for you? Ain’t going to happen, as MR’s site would need a huge increase in storage capacity to host videos and photos, and that costs a lot of money.

While I use Photobucket for photos, I use YouTube for videos. I just went to the site picked one I took last fall on a friend’s layout, copied the supplied URL and am pasting it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyrwgNZBNvQ

Took all of 15-20 seconds.

Forgot to add, there are other forums where you have to do the same thing, use a photo editing service like Photo Bucket.

Don’t forget, Trains.com is free. Now for some more Cheese.

Rich

Mind if I join you? I love cheese. I will pass on the alcohol, I have enough whiners in the family. I had problems the first couple attempts, then I finally asked others what to do. Didn’t have a problem after that. I will admit it would be nice to just post pics on the site straight from the computer, but honestly since I know how to do it, it no longer bothers me. Might take a little more time, but you know what they say. Patience is a virtue.

omg…if you can figure out to put words in huge text, you should be able to handle pictures.

But then again…
