When I first started watching I was wondering how they slowed cars coming off the hump… Then I saw the “skates” the men put on the rails.
FRA, not OSHA.
Look at all of those people they have working there!
I’m just glad that we have a safer coupling system than that. And if our freight cars were as light as those wagons, we would have beegn getting a lot of complaints when we asked those guys to push the cars in the clear.
I’m very underwhelmed at both the safety and efficiency of that operation.

I did not watch the entire video. Is there any indication of when this was filmed? It looks to be quite a few years ago.
A guess would be the film was made in the early 1950’s.
