How do you stop a post that you have put on the Forum? Art
If there have been no replies to it, you should have the option of deleting it. Open the post in question and you should see a “Delete” button at the top. Click on it and follow the instructions.
If there are replies, you may need the help of a moderator.
Just post a message saying “I’ll post my question in the Model Railroader general forum instead. Thanks” as a response in the thread on the Garden forum, and move on - no need to delete that thread.

You have two edits or ten minutes to delete a posting otherwise it gets etched in blood. Before they did their update last summer–not this summer–you could delete any post as long as it had not been “daughtered”–quoted. Once that occurred your post was fixed. This got brought up to good ol’ Bergie several times but whatever was causing it it never got fixed.
If it’s past the 10 minute period, just contact the moderator and he can “zap” it in flash.
