How to take rods off of RIVAROSSI "BIG BOY"

I need to replace the traction tires on my Big Boy. I thought the side rods had small screws like the other models I have done. Well they look like small bolts that use a small socket. Does anyone know how to get these off?

Get yourself a set of small sockets, they are made like the jewelers screw driver set and come in metric and sae.

That’s what I thought. Do you know off hand if it is METRIC or STANDARD?

Do you have any local stores similar to Merchandise Outlet or Harbor Freight? I got a set of 5 small metric nutdrivers (1mm-5mm) in a blue and clear hinged hard plastic case for 2 bucks. The brand is “MIT”. they look exactly like jeweler’s screwdrivers, but the ends are nutdrivers (obviously) instead. The 1mm size fits the nuts on my Rivarossi cab-forward’s rods.[:D]
