K

Cool Keith. Trains ya school no

Nice

That is nice work. A liitle of the weathering from the box car could have been saved for the station. All in all it looks good, How long you benn at it, and what are the plans for the future?

its been going for about 2 months about and it runs amazingly. its only a 4x6 but it has an insane track plan. it has a turntable a 13 track yard and 4 reversing loops and 18 sidings. and 14 remote swtiches. it is all i need for now!

ARTHILL,
I have been working on it since september and not done yet! i plan too add a larger plan off of it when i get older and have a house of my own. it has been alot of work but it is alot of fun running it. all the work has paid off!

Very Nice Tunnel portal!!

Nice. I’ve seen a weathered railbox like that at Central Tennessee Hobbies in Cookeville. It was based on a real unit, which was in a picture sitting next to the HO scale boxcar. I couldn’t tell the difference. It’s amazing what a little rust colored chalk can do. [:D]

Looking good. I would have say my favorite is the tunnel portal.

lookin good.

Nice signature pics there Joe, where ya get em??[:D][:D]

Ken.

Cool. I can’t wait to get mine looking like that. I’m guessing your in N scale? I’d like to see all that done in HO on a 4x6 and not look like spaghetti!

The tunnel portal does look good but where is the mountain it is supposed to be going through? Real railroads don’t build tunnels just to have something that looks cool. Tunnels are expensive to build and maintain and the reason they build them is because in the long run, it will be better to go through a mountain rather than over it. They would never build a tunnel through a small hill are rock face. Instead, they would “daylight” the line through it, digging or blasting a cut through the obstacle. A portal that is almost as big as the hill it is going through looks toylike.

ahha i see what you mean. how can i build off of it though because it is at the edge of the table and not against a wall? im liking the idea though keep me posted!

looking good. Time to add ballast now.

It looks good. I haven’t gotten to scenery on mine yet.

Very nice can you post your plan ?

Looks nice.
