Cheers,
Wow did I mess up. I wish I would have incorporated that bridge on my WP layout. There is a hiway bridge in the Feather River canyon that looks very close to it. When I seen your picture I jumped up and checked out if could squeeeeeez it in, maybe next time LOL. Your waterfall and backdrop really makes it pop out, nice touch my friend…John
BTW what type of bridge are you planning in the lower left, keep us posted.
Mr Jwar
I’m glad to see someone modeling the Keddie Wye bridge. That is my favorite shot in the U.P. calendar.
I just wish I has the room.
I really tried to figure out a way before the bull dozer showed up.
Comon guys, there are some more good bridges out there. Lets post them up.
Wahey, found it,
This is my offering, it’s a HO scale Kibri girder bridge made of plastic which will go on my as yet un-built layout
Ok Art! These are not all that big, but there are four in a row…
The wooden trestles are scratchbuilt and the two other ones are kitbashed.
It’s no where near as nice as Mark’s, but one day I’ll finish my model of Nicholson:
But do have a couple of much smaller but finished bridges.
Concrete Arch over Plaster Creek, scratch built from styrene:
Stone Arch over Barger Run, made from two N scale tunnel portals:

This is just a pair of Atlas N scale viaducts spliced together. I added the steel strapping and rods to simulate some of the reinforcement PRR added to prevent spawling.
Fantastic work (labours of love) guys, very impressive to say the least and very inspirational… well I havent made any progress on my bridge recently so heres a couple of old pics of mine.
Prototype
My version
Keep those great pics coming, gotta love big bridges,
Have fun & be safe
Karl.
What can i say Karl, fantastic, i 'll give you 10/10 for that work of art
Here are a few from my local hobby shop layout.
This one I found on the web, I think it was Rails USA
Cuda Ken
WOW !!! a double ‘S’ curve ON a trestle, they were asking for trouble, great pics Ken,
Thanks Steve.
Have fun & be safe
Karl.
Karl, that is amazing. I can’t imagine how many hours that took.
Great bridges guys. Some look the size of my whole layout LOL.
I hope it is ok to show mine here. All I have for now is this one from a tutorial I wrote recently.
Scenery isn’t done yet.
I hope you like it
Here goes my first attempt at posting a photo since the inauguration of the new forum format. (fingers crossed) [:I]
These are shots of the Algoma Central’s trestle over the Montreal River, taken from the southbound “Tour of the Line” train in May 2004.
I got a chance to go see this trestle about 3 weeks ago. Its quite amazing and your model of it is just as impressive. Great job.
Hi There;
This is a trestle I scrachtbuilt for my old RR. I could’nt use it on my present RR so I converted it into a coal transfer trestle. I got the idea from a pic in a book where a narrow gauge line transfered coal to a standard gauge line.
P.S. The scenery isn’t finished but I still consider myself A Model Railroader with a layout. (for cnj831)
Great looking trestle Tommy, glad you could incorporate it into the new locale, cant wait to see it when the scene graduates…from TT to MR.
Have fun, be safe and keep smilin
Karl.
Nice bridges tommyr!!! I was thru Oliver on my way to visit freinds in Summerland. Beautiful country, got to see the KVR 2-8-0 operating and boat rides on the Okanogan and taste really good fruit. Also saw the MR on the Sicamouse, both model and ship very cool.
