I am contemplating using Hump Yard turnout levers for my remote switches and I’m interested to hear what any body that is using them has to say about them. Do they hold the switch points tight? If you gang 2 switches to one lever, does it still operate well? How complicated are they to install?Do they get loose after a period of time? How do you have them mounted? I sure like the look of them and hope they work as good!
Thanks, Paul
I have four of them. I like them. They hold very well. They were ok to mount, easier than Tortoise. I have not tried to gang them, but would guess that might work. They work well after 18 months and being moved once from one group of turnouts to another. Here is a pic of my mount.

Howmuch are they per lever? I’ve heard of using the same principle with music wire threaded thru small diameter tubing ran thru the fascia with a knob mounted on the end of the wire. Sorry to be so cheap, but I have to keep my budget way down(disability). Tweet.
They sell them in pairs for $16.00 plus shipping. If you buy more the price goes down a bit. Check them out on line, I think the site is humpyard.com, if not just Google Hump Yard Purveyance and it will come right up. Paul
The only advantage is convienience and looks. You can do the same thing for almost nothing. Years ago I did a similar thing with Turn signal levers I got at a junk yard, An aluminum plate I cut to hold them and fish line. It was cool, but it took hours to construct, and did not work quite as well.
I have used them for about two years. I have never ganged them together so I can’t help you there. As far as holding the points tight, they do a great job. You will like them. They are easy to install and use.
‘Humps’ on yard throats come with multiple problems - vertically mis-aligned couplers for example.
It’s the one place I’d put a electro-magnetically powered switch machine with a doorbell push-button actuator.
