Humpyard Switch levers

Anyone tried these Hump Yard hand opperated switch levers. They look like what I need, but none of the local people seem to know what they are. They are expensive enough so I don’t want to learn the hard way.

I haven’t used them yet, but I plan to. I don’t think they market to hobby shops. Their web site has full detailed assembly and operational drawings, and they are very cool looking. I plan on using them to throw inexpensive slide switches to actually operate the switch machines, in the next incarnation of the Flint Hills Northern (to begin in a couple of years). I’ve heard good reprts of them. They appear to be well-made units. How sturdy they are remains to be seen, particularly if children would be operating them…

someone must have tried these things

I bought them last winter when I began building my current layout. I asked on this forum if any one had tried them, and no one had. I bought four, just to try them. I absolutely love them. They are now on every turnout on the layout… They are very adaptable and reliable. I have used the tortoise before as well as ground throws. I like these the best. Hope this helps.

Thankyou scole100. They seem like just what I need. I will order some, unless someone else had a bad experience.

I bought two of them a couple of years ago , they work just fine, and are tough,I’ve bumped into them, with no damage. You can put togathor a reallistc looking set up with them.[:D][^]

What are they? Where can I find out what they are?

holy schmokes, I like those!

Yeah, I like those too. What I get concerned about with products like this is that they’re being made by some old geezer in a garage who’s gonna stroke out over his workbench with nobody to take over the biz. [xx(]
But yeah, they’re nice.
