The thing is alstom, the proper place to discuss things like this is the Teen Railfan PLace or Coffee Shop.
BTW, I shoot a 30 ot 30.
Winchester, Marlin, or another brand?
bla bla bla bla…bla bla bla…its not trains…bla bla bla… some of you people need to lightin up just a bit…so what if the topic isnt about trains…i dont know about some of you…but a little change of pace once in a while is a good thing…and if a train buff wants to talk something other then trains once in a while… what is the harm in it…nothing… i dont know about any of you all…but i do get sick of talking shop ALL of the time… and the ones of you that are complaining about this being off topic…your hipocrits… your complaining its off topic…yet your the ones that keep adding fuel to the fire to keep this “flame” alive… dont like it…dont read it… move on…
and for the record…no…im not a hunter…but if i had the time…i would be…

THANK YOU, CSX ENGINEER!!! I’m adding you to my list of friends!
Enough from the topic patroll. You don’t like it don’t read it. It’s that simple.
While I don’t hunt to kill, I do hunt trains with my Canon. And sometimes I take along a few guns to target shoot in between trains. It’s a good combination. Shoot a couple trains…shoot a couple cans…empty a couple cans…That’s how I roll.[8D]
TRAINS.COM!!! or can you kill a SD70Mac w/ a 22 or 9 guage.??? i love hunting but i just don’ t think is the right pace to talk about it, it’s not the out door channel website… I hunted a deer with NW-5 at 15m.p.h. with the headlights on and the horn blowing…what a allusive creature! NO OFFENCE MENT!!!
wow, what an interesting sport! wouldn’t the train people get scared or upset? are they allowed to shoot back?
in my neck of the woods, we can’t even throw rocks at 'em.
yes it might be trains.com…but thier is MORE to life then just TRAINS… like i said befor… dont like the topic…dont read it… some people…and im not meaning you in proticuler… want this to be 24 hours of trains 100% of the time…and love to jump on “off topic” things… but i find it funny…they are willing to keep a tread going with their objections to the topic material…which is in fact OFF TOPIC ALSO…so i look at it as a hipocroacy… its ok for the hard cores to complain about something being off topic… which in turn the complaining is off topic… little food for thought

I guess Ill stop being so mean now. I have successfully hunted and killed a deer with an NW5, SD18, and GP30. Im not kidding. Too bad they go SPLAT!!! Cant even get the darn meat…
Max … we dont hit that many dear… and they dont go splat… they bounce off…
Will,WillWill,WillWill…lol I have been on a few trains that we have hit deer on, and yes they do go splat.
howdy
i dont have a problem with hunters or hunting.the only problem i have is when they hunt illegally by tresspassing on a rr row.I dont like to see anyone get hurt and you just cant stop a train on a dime.
stay safe

I have never heard of anyone in DeWitt county that hunted on the tracks. They know not to, the railroad police get them quick if they do.
Hunting on the tracks not that common up her but I’ve seen it , heck, the snowmobeilers have their fun on the right of way also. I think there is no problem if the walk besid the tracks and hunt, heck I see it all the time but the thing that gets me some what interested at their motives is when they walk down the middle of the main line, but usally are out of sight when the trains come, mabe I sould dawn my camo hunting gear for railfanning. LOL[(-D]
PENNFAN: where the heck are they hunting, by the yards? when they are hunting around here the, parts that they do hunt on the tracks any way are usally low trafic lines with one to sevin trains a day and are so dessolate if they are spotted by an engineer he wouldn’t bother to call it in any whay.
All I do is skeet shoot very fun, like to go partrage hunting this year.
They hunt on ranches.
