huntingdon models

anyone hear of this manufacturer? not new, I found a North Shore box freight motor on EBAY made by Huntingdon (Not Huntington) as written in its own instruction sheets. Walthers once offered a North Shore Box motor and had sheet metal stamped sides, this model has cast metal sides, looks far better too. I have 2 of the walthers now this, omy. Never heard of the Huntingdon Models, but on ebay I fouond someone made CA&E cars (Chicagoland Hobby) so its a rare model kit for sure. Uses the standard Suydam style spring drive mechanism which I will change to the Bowser.

The Huntingdon Models I’m familiar with was a brass importer circa 1970. IIRC their specialty seemed to be selling off unclaimed, or excess stock, of other brass manufacturers, but repackaged with their name on the boxes. I only recall a few brass models appearing under their company name and I don’t believe that they remained in business all that long. I don’t remember any die cast rolling stock.
