On the NS vs CSX thread, I posted this, quote “NS is the much better railroad.
(but of course the DMIR is better right?:))”,
and I got this, for all extensive purposes, threat. Is this what the forums are coming too???
If so, count me out!
Here is the response I got:
You can kiss my fat ***. NS is 100 times better than the stupid
DM&IR, which sucks. You are just pissed off because you know that the NS is
better and you cannot admit it. You are just a loser who not only
likes the stupid DM&IR but obviously likes the stupid C&NW and BNSF. You
need to figure out what the better railroad is before you open your big
fat mouth, loser.

I belong to several different truck and train forums and there are always a few dipsticks on them. Basicly realize that it is not really important what they say.
“You can please all of the people some of the time, or some of the people all of the time.” I guess those completely outrageous flames are the price we pay for the incredible access the Internet provides.
Life is like a bowl of mashed potatoes, you have to take the lumps with the good stuff.-Garfeild. Who also said “Life is like a cherry phosphate, but the time you get to the good stuff the fizz is gone.” “Life is like a turkey any way you slice it’s still a trukey.” You hit some lumps. I think Bergie will do some thing if you e-mail him.
Coburn, You and I have both taken and given our share of brick bats in this forum. Like you I can take a brick back or two, its just the ding bats that troll around along with a few that want to make a forum into a dive (cheap bar) that make things like this happen. Hang in there the best of railroading like the best of everthing sticks around. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Besides, as a great Kentucky Colonel once said when asked about such a person talking trash about and putting the bad mouth against his chicken. His answer was Sir, He is no gentleman. I think most of us that have a few stars with our names understand Col. Sanders meaning. —regards PL
It takes all kinds dosen’t it? People do stupid things and stupid things are people. That post was uncalled for but sometimes some ot the people on here take it personally when u talk about or dis there fav railroad. I hope that won’t curtail you from making anymore post on trains.com.
Whenever we run into a jerk like the one who responded to your opinions with such anger and stupidity, please remember back about a year when we had some jerk who did the same thing and we collectively “ran him out of town on a rail” (no punn intended).
Over my working career, I’ve run into the same type of folks - most described themselves as being “professional” - who like to run their mouths and bad-mouth what you’ve said or done. Even have relatives like that. I just went back to work part time after a wonderful period of full retirement. Guess what! The fools are still alive and well, running their mouths. Just blow it off. Eventually, you get to memorize the writer(s) and don’t even bother to read what they said. Eventually they get tired when they figure out no one cares about what they have to say and they fade away to bother other folks. I’ve decided that I won’t let a few nuts take away from the pleasure I get from reading the posts of the many fine folks on these forums.

I think it’s funny ( in a tragic kind of way ). Just try and picture in your head what someone that would say this might look like, then picture them saying that out loud. How could you take something as lame as this seriously.
In trucking,we have the same kind of bozos-guys that “hide behind the mike” and threaten to kick everyones --s.Seems like the same kind of guy, hiding behind the keyboard.I just find them funny and a little pathetic.
