I am new here! I have to test this Forum

Hello US - Modeller’s

I am a N-Scaler from Switzerland.
I built 3 Dioramas from Model Railroader Articels.

Swizzly,

[#welcome] to the forum! Good to have you aboard! [:)]

Looks like you’ve tried to post pictures here by copying and pasting them. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work here that way. You have to first upload your photos to an online server somewhere then link their photo address into your post in the following format:

[ img ]http://www.(address of your picture [ /img ]

(Make sure you subtract the spaces in the brackets. Otherwise, it won’t work.)

Hope that helps, Swizzly. And hope you’ll be able to be with us on a regular basis. Thanks for stopping by. [:)]

Tom

Welcome. I was able to get your pictures up. Beautiful work. Almost hard to believe its N gauge. Nice detail work and very clean sharp modeling and photography.

I got two of them to open by right clicking on them and opening them that way.

The attention to detail is fabulous. The photography is first rate as well.

Very nice work!

Swizzly, you must post more of those excellent pictures. I also had trouble with these shots on the forum, but was able to click on two of them to get them open. Are you sure you’re not modeling HO scale? The detail is so incredible! [^] I can’t believe the level of fine detail you’ve accomplished in your N scale scenes! That’s amazing!

Oh, by the way, welcome to the forums! Post, visit, browse or play anytime! [#welcome]

Here is the link to his railimages site. There are about 50 great photos there. Hard to believe that some of them are not prototype; much less N scale. Terrific work !

Our friend was kind enough to show off some of his fine work to us, but as to barging in the front door to his site, I’d rather wait to be invited. If he wants us to se more he’ll either post what he wants to show or he’ll put a link in his signature to his homepage or something. Whatever the case, I’llwait for an invitation.

His pictures are in a public site so I think he has extended the invitation.

Very nice layout, you have made quite a bit of progress since I have looked at your pics. Where do you get the vehicles.

I know it’s a public site. I have pics there too. It’s just a courtesy thing, ya know?

Well - I respect privacy also; however what you get when you right click on his second failed picture attempt, (and click on open link) is his site. By posting (or attempting to post) pictures from a public site; you open the site to public access. He can restrict site access for any pictures that he does not want to be public.

That’s strange! I got a pic, not the site.

And I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to suggest that you didn’t mind the privacy of others. I didn’t really state my thoughts very well. My appologies.

No problem !

Back to the real topic - is this great work, or not?

I see in one photo a nice large bail bonds office. [banghead] I really have to stop goinig there.

It never ceases to amaze me how well europeans model american subjects. I can’t say that I’ve seen U.S. examples of European subjects done as well ,although I know that there are enthusiasts out there.

It is indeed, first class all the way!

I’m speechless! Somebody tell MR to fly a photographer over to Switzerland! It gives us N-scalers something to strive for (or drive us to take up another hobby, like knitting).

Hi Guy’s!

thank’s for the flower’s!!! ;o)
The fine detailing I have stolen by Bob Smaus Article!
I thought, if that’s posible in HO, it also should be able in N-Scale!!!

Those shots in the railimages file almost blew me away, they’re terrific. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen modeling on that kind of scale.

Hello Eugen,

That is really great. I reckon that you must have lived in the States for a while. It is hard to imagine someone getting such realism just from magazine articles. I lived in Arizona for a while many years back, and then California. Nearly forgot, Nevada for three months too. That first photo looks the goods.

Perhaps as someone earlier on pointed out the bail bond office might be scaled down a little. [(-D] However, that is great work. The fence in the foreground of the third photo is cool.

Feel free to test with a few more photos. We all love them.

I received all of your pictures without any trouble, and you do just wonderful work. Welcome to the forum, and I hope you will chime in with help when those of us less talented or newer at modeling, post our questions. You also give us something to strive for as well. Keep on RR’ing. Hal
