With my retaining wall. If anyone reading this, read my other post “under the bridge is”, i mentioned how i need to find a way to build a wooden retaining wall for a section on my layout. This wall shown below is exactly what i was looking for. I took and cut a peice of 044 sheet styrene to the correct measurement, i then cut a handful of matches up into different lengths and hot glued them onto the sheet styrene. What do you think of it? I am completely satisfied.
Nice work. I’m offically happy. I’m getting two used locos from Jeff.[:D]
I think it turned out great…it shows lots of character.
I like it good job. it’s the little things like this that make a layout [tup]
nice work[bow]
Take a picture of it with a train or a structure nearby so we can see it in context… hard to see if you have the proportions right…

That wall looks awesome! Made from paper matches? Neat cheap modeling.
The one thing that did stand out to me though was the white styrene showing. I think painting it the same color as the “wall” would be a good idea.

It looks fine so far. As Lee says, a wee bit more context would help a lot. But, I like what I see so far.
Very cool
Rotor, I do plan do paint the styrene ofcourse. That photograph shown below was before the wall was even scenic glued. I also plan to add a few dry transfer decals on the wall as well.
Lee, i plan to lay a temporary track there to do exactly what you mentioned, i may have to make the wall a bit higher or a bit longer. I will post pictures as soon as it is in place.
