Here’s another shot from my Detroit trip - a faux Erie Lackawanna F7(A) in Walled Lake, MI, with a string of DL&W MUs behind it.

I believe that this unit is actually a former Chicago and Northwestern locomotive.

The owners of Coe Rail (now known as Michigan Air-Line Railway) seem to have a fixation on EL.
I found this switcher at their interchange with CSX in Wixom, obviously OOS. “Do Not Occupy” was spray painted on the end of the cab.

The website says it’s former Port Huron & Detroit.
MAL operates the “Michigan Star Clipper” dinner train and serves a couple of transloading sites.
Did “Coe” stand for anything?

It’s a surname I’ve heard before, although not in relation to a railroad. I suspect it’s the owner(s).
