I’m a pretty big fan of Amtrak, and today(the 19th) I finally saw one!!! I went from colorado Springs, where I live, to Trinidad colorado. It was one of the greatest trips I’ve ever been on. I took a while to convince my dad to take me but he finally gave in.Look down 2 posts to see the pictures. I only got like 6 pictures since i was also using the video camera. Of the Pics I got, only 2 of them were any good [:(]. NAyway, It was AWSOME!!!
Way to go, I know the feeling and Im glad the trip was worth it. J1
I’m looking forward to those pictures, glad to hear you had a good time. [:)]
It wont let me add anymore for somereason. but if you want anymore pictures just give me a hollar acelaexpress2000@yahoo.com
I hope you also looked at and took pictures of the ATSF/Amtrak Depot in Trinidad. It’ll be gone by this time next year when I-25 relocates and the Northbound Commercial Street exit ramp goes right through where the 1960-built depot (contemporary concrete block)is now. There are two other depots nearby (Ex-C&S now a restauraunt and Ex-DRG now a city maintenance garage)
Are Denver & La Junta out of bounds? You went awful far to see the great silver worm (without RoadRailers on the rear end or Amtrak Hi-speed boxcars too?)…

Man u would love were I live. I live 5mins from the NEC. Every day just about I see Amtrak’s acela, metroliner, cresent, and others that depart from 30th street station and North Phila station. I also see SEPTA all the time (R2, R8, R1) I ride SEPTA all the time too. I see NJT power, mostly the diesel express, and some CSX and Conrail action.
Does anybody have a picture of that P unit with Kerry / Edwards stenciling on it?
Cool! I saw three on Sunday on the Keystone Corridor.
