I have 36 9 1/4" boxcars. Example X2454 Baby Ruth, X2458 Pennsylvania

Plus 8 stockcars. Both postwar and Fundimensions. Go’s with and look good on smaller layouts. Fits smaller steam and 027 cars, flats, gondolas, hoppers, tanks, dump cars, and SP type cabooses. The benifits of O gauge without taking up too much layout space. CTT May 06 has a article on the postwar ones by Robert Swanson & Roger Carp

Post WW2 quality items well worth accumulating … at your leisure. [dinner]

We too have a bunch of them. I most likely will have them on a lower level of the layout for my son to play with.

Yes, I love the look of the short postwar boxcars, especially on a small layout. There are many to chose from and most of them can be purchased quite inexpensively. Here is a video of 15 of them being hauled arouond my 5’ x 9’ layout.

Dave S: I love watching your YouTube videos–your stuff is just so entertaining, it works so well, your filming is excellent, and your layout seems so well designed. I might have to take a trip to MI just to see your layout in person (even though I’m a PSU fan and MI is unholy land for us! I do have a question about your layout: how did you get the gas station sign to rotate? That is SO cool!
