OK so i have a lot of problems but one that u might be able to help out with. I currently have an Atlas C44-9W (gold) and an Athearn C40-8 Both NS Paint and dcc w/ sound the works, the pics of the two are on my signature. I currently have the two enginge Mewed together, Both on address 8387 the number of the lead loco (the Atlas). when i throttle up the atlas starts to pull and the athearn sits until i get to around 5 (scale) mph then slowly speeds up but by the time they are at the same speed the atlas is spinnin wheels while the athearn is draggin. is there some type of programming i can to to speed up or slow down the acceleration of these guys to make for better running. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Nick
Depending on what DCC system you have you need to match some CV’s so they respond pretty much the same to the throttle. I have an ABBA F2/3 consist that I mu together and they work great. I modified the cv’s on the primary A unit the way I wanted it then I took each of the others one by one and changed CV’s and let the two run around the track a few times to see if it was close. I kept repeating the process until all were the same. I usually change CV’s 3, 4, 5, 6 (if memory is correect) basically the start, accel, top spd and mid spd. Check your manual to make sure.

You may have to undertake the painful (unless using JMRI software and a computer) process of matching their speed table profiles. There should be instructions in your decoder manual.
