I have a vision.....hold on to your hats!

It was the N scale “Gandor and Rohan” or something to that effect, and it was published in MR back in the late 70’s. The scenery was actually pretty realistic, and didn’t relate to the Tolkein novels at all, except for some place names. But I remember it being a pretty nicely done layout for the times, and was one of the inspirations for me to keep on with N scale, even through its Dark Ages!!

And uh, Jess, lay off the payote for a while…[(-D]

First thoughts:

  1. They don’t make Aquariums large enough.

  2. You’ll need to come up for air.

  3. Whatever you’re smoking - you can $ell.

. . . . . . . . . . and I thought that my fantasy visions were wild!!!

RH:

Great Scott! You have inspired me!

I can see it now…a creeping, eldritch vision of horrifying non-Euclidean geometries, a city of vast inhuman monoliths in the ancient unknown depths of the cold sea…with an excellent public transportation network…

“THE R’LYEH RAILWAY!”

(Serving the Old Ones since…then)

(And with strange eons, your train may arrive)

What a layout that would be. And that name…it must be done.
It would use all Tyco equipment. I wonder how well they work underwater?

There was also the HO scale Troll & Elfin. Seems like it was published in that same time period.

P.S. Dungeons & Dragons is still as popular as it was then. Plus it has morphed into more roll-playing games than one can shake a stick at.
