I have returned!

Yes, I am back. Been VERY busy, probably moving. Have not made any progress on the layout, in fact just was down running trains for the first time in months. Between not really having much time and more likely that not a move coming up, I didn’t see a point in going forward with the layout at this time. Plus I’ve been having second thoughts about the planned direction of the railroad. See my next post for some of that discussion [:D]
I don’t know if I will be here several time a day like in the past, but I will try to participate as much as possible.

[#welcome] Friend, good to see you back!!

Been seeing your posts on the Anthracite Yahoo group - I see you’re moving more and more prototypical [:D] Sounds like you’re making great progress.

I have not been around much lately etheir. Will be back to working on my railroad a lot over summer vacation. Good luck with the RR and Move (if you do) Happy Modeling. Tim

Welcome back. I was gone for 24 years. You certainly were faster than that. I survived 5 big layout ending moves. I bet you do better than any of them. I am interested in yiur new directions and will be waiting to see them.

Yea - bet it was the lure of the Atlas RS-3’s in Reading paint that brought you back eh?

Brad

Glad to see you found your way back.

Victor

Happy Railroading.[swg][swg]

Found out that it is CHEAPER to go that way. I will still run all types of equipment but use the buildings, scenes and such of the region. Saves you money on guessing the buildings and such.
I got all my signal information and will look into Digitrax for the system.
We HOPE to lay the last of ther roadbed Tuesday for this phase. The 2nd phase is on hold till this one is bullet proof!
We one th frog wars and the Atlas turnout is now the best on the layout instead of the worst.[:D]

I know, I know, if you tell us where you’ve been you’ll have to kill us.

WB Randy.

Good to see you back, Randy! I have missed your posts and great knowlege. Good luck on the move if it happens.

Welcome back!

Thanks everyone. I wasn’t out of the hobby, I’ve been keeping up on my magazine reading and various mailing lists, sometimes even replying. Not like the period during and just after college when I truly was out of the hobby for a while. I doubt that will happen again.
In fact I need to hit the LHS and use my gift certificate from Christmas, hope they still have one of those Walthers cement plants in stock - the big one with the rotary kiln and stuff.

I feel left out!! I wasn’t even aware we were supposed to have missed you!! Go away again and this time I promise to make up for the deficit!!

It is good to have you back, Randy. You sound enthused and ready to get at it!

Too bad the MR world has left DCC and gone on to DCS in your absence…HA, HA,…

PSYCH!!!

It must be a trend! I’ve seen posts from several other people who had been away for various reasons for a while…

The DCC guru is in the house![^] Missed ya!

Randy,

Good to have you back! I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering if we’d ever see you back here again on the forum. Your absence was very much felt - especially in your “area of expertise”. We managed though…but it wasn’t the same.

Anyway, [#welcome] back!

Tom

Good to see you’re back! Now…just one thing…DON’T DISAPPEAR AGAIN![:D][8D][C):-)][(-D]

welcome back !
hopefully your life will settle down a bit and you can start (resume?) construction soon

Heeellllooooo Randy! Good to have you back.

I am in probable moving jail, too. I thought we might own two basements as of this Friday, but the lender for the new house finally got around to giving us their “truth in lending” costs. If they are even close to true, we will not be closing on the new house Friday, but rather searching for new financing! While this fiasco has been going on, my only activitiy has been painting the passenger equipment you see attached to this.

Anyway, glad you are back.
