This morning as the conclusion of the UP Historical Society convention there was a swap meet. I always check out consignment retailers no matter what show I’m at, and it finally paid off.

For a while I’ve wanted an UP passenger train, but wasn’t able to find anything acceptable or affordable on ebay. Sure enough at the meet some retailer had a 7 car Athearn set he bought at an estate sale for $30. It will need some cleaning (actually two cars have been done, and so far so good) because there was alot of “natural weathering.” Some minor parts are missing (windows etc) and of course every car will be getting a set of KD’s.

Whew! I’m glad you posted the second two pictures because I didn’t see the trains in the first one :slight_smile:

yep gotta agree there. train looks good.you might wanna add on to the fireplace.

You don’t need to add more brick, just move the truck forward a bit.
