I know this is "chaff", but....

Thought maybe some of you redecorating your homes might enjoy this (scroll down slightly)

Might make for an interesting border in the parlor.

I am SO putting that into my bathroom when I get the shower put in and all sheetrocked…

…That is a great painting…Have seen it many times before. Wish it would enlarge to a full screen.

One mans chaff is another mans treasure…

Is that a wallpaper or border pattern, or just a print?

The 3 at the creative wallcovering site are borders, I believe. 5 1/8" high x 5 yards long (spool) with the pattern repeating every 18".

$28 per 15 linear feet, is not cheap.

Still, I think someone could do some interesting things with them. If one had a train room, or a den with a RR memorabilia decorum, a border such as one of those would likely inspire questions about “WTF did you get that?” and the sort

Not sure if you are talking about my new sig file pic (the two steam locos) or the 3 wallpaper border samples at the site linked to in the word “this” from my original post.

I had completely missed that your word “this” was a link in your original post. Thanks for pointing it out. [D)]

I can’t take the chaff!!!

Struck a bone did we?

Actually this one was kind of interesting. I showed it to my wife and she thought it would look just great in my train room.

The joke, of course, was that I don’t have a train room in my tiny condo so really it was a rather cruel jest. That’s alright. I’ll self-medicate by purchasing that solid brass Milwaukee Road SD40-2 I’ve always wanted. Healthy, right?

ANYTHING art deco in trains is fantastic!

I’d want something looking a little more prototypical myself, but I can imagine a couple of people of my acquaintance with young boy(s) who might go for this. Also, I have this wife who, if I were to show it to her, might want to put it somewhere in the house.

Carl

matt might have to take a look at it.although santa has another idea for him to work on.its a series of puzzles.when stretched out its 27 cars long.so we might use that for a border.

stay safe

The room I use as a print shop was used by the previous owner for his model railroad. It has a train motif - all British prototype stuff…

When I first saw this post, apparently, as some others did; I looked at the signature portrait and thought that was really nice, but when read the post, I had thought you had you might have been injured when your riding lawnmower turned over![%-)] But when I keyed on “this” I was suprised to see the wall paper samples, unfortunately $28.00 a roll would put my wife, whose favorite words include, “On Sale” and " Cheap-[read frugal]" into a coronary… But they are really nice, Got to admit that![8D]

…Sorry, didn’t see that the word “list” was cued as a link until you pointed it out. And I’m referring to the sig pic of the two steamers…

Probably inconsiderate of me to make a glancing reference to a visual work while at the same time hoisting a new sig graphic, without being more discriminating, but as mookie seems to have pieced together I was again pursuing my passion for art deco when google produced both the sig and the wallpaper supplier.

My bad. I guess. You certainly are not the only one to mistake my intentions.

Darn!! and I was so counting upon your approval. [V]

I was hoping for a more popeyesque “I can’t stands it no more!!” but i guess i’ll have to settle for silver.

Datafever wasn’t the only one.[:I]

[#ditto]

Isn’t this about the point at which this subject is hijacked?

It seems to me that if more wall paper companies were allowed to produced borders with trains, the samples shown wouldn’t be so expensive! [}:)][}:)]
