I know this is kinda stupid...

How do you post pictures?

yes, I agree. Pretty stupid Hu?

Yeah, it is kinda stupid.[8D] Sorry, I couldn’t resist. You set yourself up for that one.

You need to have the URL of the picture stored somewhere. Try Imageshack, or Photobucket. They are free image hosting sites. Then you click on the Image icon at the top of the posting box, and enter the URL of the picture.

http://www.imageshack.us/

Nope, not stupid if you never did it.

You need a picture host like http://www.photobucket.com/ etc. You have to upload digital pictures you have. Then you can place a live link or whatever (photobucket provides the link for you based on pictures you have uploaded so you just copy/paste in to forums etc).

Here is an example:

[IMG.]http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c310/leafwalker7/DRGW5531C.jpg[/IMG]

I used the above line to make a live link. I put the dot . after the first [IMG to make it not show the photo in the line that shows. Remove it and it makes a photo instead.

Some forms make you put an to make the photo show. No [IMG.] … [/IMG] but rather Once again I added the dot so it doesn’t try to make a real photo live link.

If you right click on a photo, then click “Properties”, you will see what a photo address looks like.

avenger,

Are you using Internet Explorer or Firefox?

Procedure for Firefox

The reason I ask, there is a slightly different procedure to post pictures.
If you look above, you’ll see an icon like a pair of scissors, then another like two pieces of paper, then two clipboards.
On whatever picture source you use( I use photobucket), right click on the "image URL, and drag your mouse until it says “copy”, then come back to the forum and “right click” on the second clipboard. You will see a screen pop up that says "Insert " at the bottom, -now on your keyboard, push Crtl plus V and your picture will post-- This is if you are using Firefox browser.

Hope this helps.

A lot harder than i thought. Not realy, but Thanks!

Using Internet Explorer and photobucket, simply click on the line of date entitled “IMG Code”, which appears beneath the photo. This automatically copies the data. Then, in the composition window here, place the cursor where you’d like the image to appear, click on “EDIT” at the top of your screen, then click “PASTE” in the drop-down menu. A line of data will appear in the composition window, and it will show as a picture when you click “POST”.
