I need a track plan

Where can I find a track plan for a 6X9 or 6X10 logging layout in HO? It should have some kind of continuous running for the steam train to service the area.

Well for that size, if the idea is to have a walk way all the way around it then just find 4x8 plans and blow them up. #34 and #35 from 101 track plans come to mind.

I always thought this one was nice, but it’s point to point. Too bad there isn’t an EZ way to get you a copy of my layout files. I’ve saved just about everyone I’ve seen online! Well over a hundred.

Bruce, would you provide us with some sense of the way you will manage the space? I believe you occupy a wheel chair most often, and I recall a recent thread where you had difficulty with a cut-out and stability of the layout. Why the appeal for a track plan? Have you elected to start anew? What should we keep in mind for you to manage the layout? Will you be able to move around its perimeter?

Sorry to be a pain, but it would help me to provide you with a more robust service if I understood at the outset what is going on and what constraints I should keep in mind on your behalf.

I have been toying with the idea of starting over with a table supported only on each end. There would be a pivot at the ends to enable the layout to be rotated 360 degrees. This would allow me to work on both sides and tilt the whole thing to vertical to work on areas out of normal reach. The end supports would be on casters. Uneven floor should not be a problem with this setup.

It is just a thought at this time and I am trying to see if it is practical at all.

Starting over? After all that work? [:O]
