I need Budd fluting!

I am scrach building an A/B set of CB&Q shovel noses but I cant find a source for Budd style fluting. I need somthing thin enough to laminate over the side of the shell instead of cutting and splicing. Can anyone help?

Thanks, John.

I forgot to mention I need it in HO scale.

John.

John; If you would, please tell where you got the plans for this beauty?

The Burlington Route historical society has a publication called the Burlington Bulletin. Back in 1984 the had one dedicated to the shovelnoses (no 13) which included plans for all their shovelnoses along with lots of pics. I’ve all ready completed a model of CB&Q 9908 Silver charger. It was a kit ba***hough, useing a Kato buisness car for the courrigation.

John.

Anybody?

onequiknova: This is not too much help, I know it does exist. I saw it “somewhere”, wrote it down and promptly lost the paper. It might have been the Three Brothers car kit place. NAHH, don’t remember their URL either. But it DOES exist. That is a help ?

The rear plate on my MoPar sez “CHEVY VU”.

I would also like a source for fluting.

I made a post on another forum looking for a way to duplicate fluting in kitbashes and got a few suggestions but no one had done it. I was trying to take off the boards on Athearn and Bachman passenger cars.

Has anyone here done it?

Doug
