Define cheap…
Did you check eBay?
I don’t think I have ever seen an HO-scale O-gauge train. I figure that would be a prototype gauge of 9 feet 3/4 inch.
I think there is a typo in all of this somewhere.

if you are looking for low price O gauge trains try hobby shops for used not abused stuff! or if HO try toys r us for life-like models they are inexpensive i seen sets goin low as 35.00 dls,i hope this helps[:)].
Well, whether you’re looking for O or HO gauge trains, I can give you some tips. One of the best things you can do to save money is to buy used. Always check out any antique stores, pawn shops, junk stores, flea markets, garage sales and anywhere else you can buy used goods. You can find many good deals on trains at these places. In general, from my experience, these people know little to nothing about trains and so the prices can really vary. Sometimes you’ll find somebody out to rip you off, but the deals you find will far outweigh the disappointments. Whenever I travel anywhere I always check the yellow pages for places like this and phone them all up to see if they have any trains. If you look hard enough you will find trains.
As mentioned before, ebay is an excellent place to find trains. If you want to get the deals, always check out obscure descriptions like “old toy trains”, “model train pieces” or “train set” and look under the category of “Other Scales” where all the idiots who know nothing list their trains.
Good luck in finding what you want!
