I need help on Walthers double slip wiring!

How does a person go about placing the track feeders for a Walthers/Shinohara double slip?

If the rule is “don’t feed the frogs”; Then where the heck do you put the feeders to eliminate any deadspots?

My Kato SD90 MACs are the only locos I have long enough to span the switch without stalling.

Wouldn’t it be great if Walthers supplied a single sheet of paper with some wiring instructions!

To whom it may concern:

To wire a double slip you put feeders to the two outer rails, the stock rails, but you also have to feed the frogs (which are insulated from the closure rails) through switch motor contacts or some other form of auxilliary switches. See the diagram in my book, “Easy Model Railroad Wiring” (Kalmbach), fig. 3-19 on page 36.

so long,

Thanks! I’ll check it out.

However, I still think it would be a good idea for manufacturers to provide instructions.
