Those of you that know me, know that I am a huge fan of the bicentennial era American Freedom Train. That 4449 was on the point when I first saw the train didn’t hurt! Anyway, I hope someone out there can help solve one of the mysterys of “where are they now” …
Here goes: When were AFT cars 20 and 33 added to the AFT consist? Where are they today?
I have pictures of of the AFT in mid April 1975 … no 20 or 33. Fast forward to late 1975 and a 4449 powered AFT … 20 and 33 are there.
On the definitive site for AFT fans (www.freedomtrain.org), there are pictures of both cars and they are tracked through 1981 … here is hoping that one of you can solve the mystery!!!
