Ho dude

If your serious about asking for help, rewrite your topic and make it sound as though you are serious.

IF NOT…go play with Mr. …

OLD DAD

Whow Dude, Harse!

Nobody responded to this guys post since Febuary and the first one he gets virtually says “go away” ?

That aint right, EVERYONE is welcome here, This aint no exclusive club with valet service at the door. Park yourself and only bring the positive in with you, check your attitude at the doorstep.

HO dude, Welcome to Large Scale, we’ll help cure you of that dreaded disease known as HO-itis. Kalmbach publishes several very good books on getting started. There are also several postings on this forum on the same subject, read thru the older postings and you will find several very good tips, references, and advice on getting started.

The best way I know to get started is to get a starter set, pick the area you want to build your layout, lay down the track in the yard and just let it run. You’ll be surprised how fast the ideas for a layout will come to you.

Good Luck, Vic.

I just went to ‘mylayoutisho’ s profile. He claims in a post under ‘Teen Modeler’s’ on 2/16/03 that he is only 11 years old. That could validate his grammar and the way he write’s…Then again, he/she could be a 63 yr old spinister from Hoboken!!

Dave
I’ve read other postings by “mylayoutisho” on the Model Railroading forum, and I’m pretty sure he’s who he says he is, so lets not be so harsh with his gramer or his Mr Whippy whatever the heck that is…and he’s from Aussieland if AU is what I think it means so.

Hey HO dude, what in the flying kazamarov brother is a “mr whippy”?

I saw a Mr Whip and a carny once,
it was one of those “spin upside down and around and vomit all over your girlfriend” type ride,

any connection?

Holding my breath waiting for his reply!

Hey Guys,
Judging by the date of the original post and the frequency of his visits, we may be waiting quite a while. That’s OK…should be interesting. By the way…snow is almost all melted away here in Manitoba. Is this really November??? Later eh…Brian.

There just making room for the bumper crop coming your way in December…LOL

My gramps came from Winnipeg and he said the winters were so cold that it made Chicago in winter look like Miami.

Any truth to the stories of cows freezing in place while still standing up?

Mr. Whippy? Ice Cream…of course. From the tone of your posts you are either jiv’n or suffering brain freeze from one to many trips to the Ice Cream Man. I confess, I’m a bit more har***han needed, but sometimes it’s tough to take some of these posts as serious. If you would like help, there are some real good folks around here who can offer it, slow down , compose a complete sentence and a answer more than likely will be had. Oh yes, I Was born OLD and CRANKY, other than that, I’m a real lovable guy!

vsmith,
Yes our winters can be brutal. Do cattle freeze standing up? Only if we leave em’ out over night. Seriously our climate goes from +30C to -30C. Makes for interesting track work with the changes…right OLD DAD? SNOW is coming this evening…at least they say it is. How is that for getting off the original topic of this thread? Later eh…Brian.

Here in NM it gets so hot in the summer, popcorn pops on the stalk. The cows in the next field THINK it’s snow and lay down and freeze to death.
