With a little knowledge of the old Santa Fe power units.
We saw # 7508. It isn’t in my book. Anyone tell me what it’s pedigree is?
That’s all I need you for…
Thank you!
Mookie
It’s ok - go back to what you were doing…
We’re done!

This is the same locomotive on the ATSF in 1994

And here I thought you were looking for a date.[;)]
My roster says it is a SD45-2B.
Does Driver know about this??? [swg]
That looks like 5 stars chad.

[:0] I guess I’m in trouble now.[:D]
Yup, Now I’m a five star pain in the …[;)]
Ya done good, Chad… Even if Mookie wasn’t trolling for a date.[bow][bow][bow][bow][bow]

BNSF SD45-2B #7508 was orginally ATSF SD45-2 #5701. In Nov. 1987 in was rebuilt into a B unit and given the number 5514. Upon the merger, it was renumbered to 7508 on Jan 24, 2000. Hope these helps.

I thank you all! It just looked so strange, since most of the Power Units we see are GP60’s. This just looked really unusual - I guess it may be!
Driver won’t be too concerned - he knows I won’t go far - I can get lost in a small room!
Mookie
BNSF 7508 won’t be owned by BNSF too much longer…it’ll be sold to NRE.
You might not go far, but I do.[;)]
Seriously though, Pops and I have been talking about going out to Nebraska on our next railfan adventure. Not sure exactly when though.[8D]
Chad - Driver came from SD, native Californian, stayed and never went back…
People who come to Nebraska fall in love and stay…
Haven’t a clue why! Maybe it is our water!
Moo
Well I wouldn’t know. I’ve been all over the west but I have never been east of Denver. It’s time I expand my horizons.[8D]
If it wasn’t for the “driver” I am sure there would be a line a mile long at the door. [:)]
But I would be the one WITH flowers and train photos for her walls. [;)]
Having now seen every corner, city, villiage, Sod Hut, sand hill, cliff, canyon and umm…gravel road, I’m tired of it and will be happy to get back to good Old Illinois. [:p] Maybe i just absorbed way to much in way to short of a time, but then, i’m easily bored. [xx(]
Geeeeeez! Even I know that a woman who’s interested in trains, looking for a date on the internet is too good to be true![;)]
Duh! or Der! or Doh! or Doy! ( depending on your geoghaphic location)[:p]
[:I][:I]
As you know, we are fully capable of coming out to Nebraska, and if you really “needed” us, we’d be there!
Matter of fact, Pat was looking at something to do with quilts in Syracuse, Nebraska, which I’m sure could be incorporated sometime on a trip west.
We’ll have to go west, young lady, sometime in the next couple of years, assuming the newlyweds stay in California that long. Mookies and Mudchickens beware!
