Well, after 2 years of wishing…#1 on my most wanted to capture on video list was CAPTURED. A pair of SD70ACe’s. UP # 8382 and 8414 were paired with SD70M #4412, CSX SD50 8776, and CN GP38-2W #9542. It was a grand sight seeing all 5 units, lead by a pair of Brand Spankin new units throttle up was amazing. Now…I have replaced Spots 14-20 to UP 1982 (MP), UP 1983(WP), UP 1986(DRGW), UP 1988(MKT), UP 1995(CNW), UP 1996(SP) Wish my luck on capturing these one-of-a-kind units on video. If anyone captures them on video before me…I will pay $5.00 for a copy of the film!

Jim congrats. Let me tell you something I have yet to see a SD70ACe, ya know over here in Philly and in PA in general is GE country. Good luck in hunting down those UP heritage units. Let me know when you get 1995 CNW and 1983 WP on film. I might have to negocate (spelling) with you.
Despite my distaste for the new “heritage” units, I would still love to get pictures of them. I sure hope they don’t botch the C&NW one – note to UP: JUST DO THE LIGHTNING STRIPE SCHEME!!!
