I seen a car today at my local LHS, but am not sure what it is....

I made a very quick pitstop at one of my ‘local’ LHS stores today while going on an errand, and they had a small little car (N scale) I was intrigued with. It was a CSX car, a 2 axle small little thing in blue with a yellow hand brake, had blackened wheels and extra wheels. It dodn’t say anything on the box what it was, and couldn’t get any help from any of the staff, they were busy with other people and I had no time to stay and discuss it. I am wondering if this is a scale car and if so, who made it (I want to say Atlas, but I am not sure). Does anyone have any info I can go on and if there is any made for Santa Fe, or other road names, and where I can find them at?

I’d most appreciate any help you can give me…

Thanks,
Roger

I suspect that it was one of the new Microtrains Scale Test Cars.

It is just what oueugr states. Its a Microtrains scale test car and I spoke to the rep from Microtrains at the W. Springfield show and he stated that they would be making them for all of the major rail lines.

Is this the car?

Are there any Scale test cars made in HO?

Railfan1: Walthers used to make a scale test car kit in HO just like the Micro-Trains car. Try the secondary markets.

Hadn’t seen a scale car in N before.
