I would love to see your layout

Not only is your wiring great to look at, but your layout is spectacular. I have gone back and looked at it several times. Very cool !

Thanks. My goal was a long mainline so I could run long trains. For example…

Awesome!

I’m slowly making progress on a 12x6 HO dog bone layout. Somehow I shoved in both a small IM terminal and lumber transload yard.

I laid it out using SCARM and did some test assembly. So far it seems to fit but it’s tight lol. I’ve enjoyed building the models for it as well.

If I did 3 rail I would want my layout to look like Norm’s!

LOTS of inspiration here!

Norm is in a class by himself, he is a real artist! When you look at his layout, it’s hard to see it’s not real. The only giveaway is the 3rd rail!

My layout? Well, it’s a modest 4 x 8 but it serves well to exercise the collection!
And as the late Harry Henning (God rest his soul!) told me:
“It’s not the size of the layout that matters, it’s what you do with what you have!”
Wise man!

But I STILL haven’t gotten around to putting people on it! It looks like a neutron bomb went off!

Downsized and sold the house a few years ago. Here was my younger self, circa 2016, posing with the layout, followed by a link to the video I made about a year before demolition.
