Icar video

A while ago I was successful in converting an Iphone video of my layout from the iphone format .mov to Microsoft Windows movie maker .mswmm but when I converted it and got the image reversed, it looks great but I don’t have any sound. Is this a conversion issue, I can’t seem to find any info on the internet. Any assistance is appreciated!

IIRC Youtube has a pretty good “how to” section on their site. It helped me a lot when I was fooling around with various video cameras.

Contour uses a .mov format and has a downloadable program so you can share your videos. You maybe able to use this platform to display and share video

I see it everywhere and did know at one time; but, people seem to use the abbreviation IIRC like anyone who is anyone, will know what it means! Sorry, I guess I’m one who doesn’t seem to know it and can’t keep track of it means long enough to remember! Can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks in advance!

IIRC If I Remember Correctly is If I Remember Correctly. Next time just google it. There are lots of them. Our local TV station just did a show on them including the ones kids use. MIR = Mother in room, ASL = age sex and location etc.

cheers

O.K., then! Is I can’t remember ICR?

For us geezers there is an acronym dictionary available online at: http://www.netlingo.com/acronyms.php.

Looking at it made my head hurt.

Without derailing this thread and beyond this post, my mouth shall be closed; but, I think I’ll stay with continuing to spell-out the words I use in my posts.

I think,you are confusing, ICR,with, CRS. decease,LOL

Cheers,

Frank

There’s an option to reverse the video in Windows Movie Maker - you need to do this since with the iCar it is filmed through a mirror and thus left and right are reversed.

Here’s a YouTube video how-to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg1q61g0wy4

(turn down the sound - unless you really enjoy the thumper bass effect)

The end results work out nice. Here’s one of mine (I have a couple more from the same show last year to finish editing)

Thanks Randy… I know a bit about reversing the image and special effects etc. , my problem is that the sound that my Iphone recorded during the video didn’t come across to MSWMM when it was converted… The sound is the only missing component… I may just have to end up adding music to it of which I will figure out next… I hope…

Hmm, I got the sound, but since it was mostly just annoying background noise (it WAS a public show after all - lots of people walking around talking) I didn;t worry about it too much. Problem is, on the 4/4S anyway, is that it has two mics, one at the top and one down where your mouth is when using it as a phone. There isn’t an option in the standard movie recorder to make it use only one, so you get sounds from both ends.

How did you transfer the movies to your computer? For pictures and videos I just plug in the USB cable and copy them off, avoiding iTunes. I find the PC version of iTunes to be absolutely horrible (and it’s even doubly worse now that I also have an iPad, so two devices to manage), and I also never EVER let it manage my music collection, which I already have organized by artist/album - and iTunes constantly shows a given song as part of some other album because “it knows best”. That’s true even of actual rips of my own purchased CDs - so I KNOW the song is from album A, yet iTunes insists it’s from album B. Anyway, the direct copy for photos and videos seems to not cause any issues, the file comes across exactly as it was on the phone, nothing altered in any way, and then I can open it in Windows Movie Maker and cut out what I don’t want, and add the captions.
