ICE incident

Just heard on Chicago radio that the ICE had another hazardous materials car spill up in MN last night or yesterday…seems like their luck is not all that good lately in this area.

The report I read said it was due to a faulty valve(?) on a shipper-owned tank car. It was the luck of the odds, that it happened on ICE and not some other line.

Is this what you’re referring to, or was there another incident?

That would be the one. Not a good day for Lake City, at the same time, a truck crashed on the highway just outside of town blocking road traffic too.

Off topic, but Lake City MN (on the Mississippi River) is the birthplace of water skiing.

I remember the Tennant & Hoyt Airslide covered hoppers advertising Lake City as the birthplace of water skiing, almost as prominently as their Golden Loaf Flour.
