Idea from Jim.

As you all know, I have completed my precious home video. However, I started thinking today of an idea that forum members could participate in. That idea is a “Chain Video” The video is sent around via snail mail and each person adds 5 minutes of their home video to an 8 hour tape that is recorded in either SLP or EP mode. That way, we can each show a tiny bit of railroad action in our area. With 5 minutes per person, we could get maybe all the forum members that have shot video.

What do you guys think of this idea?

I can understand that you guys might not like this idea, but then again I am used to everyone hating my ideas now, so go ahead, and post your true feelings about this Idea.

i personally like the idea… it was thrown around a few months back but I don’t think anything ever came of it

It sounds like a great idea. I think that combinng everyones footage together will make for some grat action!

Good idea, but i dont have a camera that uses tape anymore.

…Idea sounds good. I was visiting Horseshoe Curve some years ago and had a C-VHS camera running as a freight was struggling to get around the curve and just about to stall out and the tape has good sound on it too…My scanner was on and I could hear the Engineer was commenting he was getting in real trouble but to everyone’s surprise he managed to keep moving and made it up the hill…Sounds good on the tape.

who would like to start the tape?

I do not have a C format camcorder
