I am an N Scaler who recently aquired the following. I plan on adding these to my Railroadiana collection but need to know the following : what they are / their historical significance and possible worth in case someone asks. Can anyone help ? Thanks in advance.
The Santa Fe looks like a Marx Tinplate train. I believe the plastic cars were manufactured by Marx as well. Sorry, I don’t have any information reguarding current value.
Upper set is battery operated. Probably Marx. No idea about the lower set. Are there any kind of identifying marks on the sets, particularly a circle with a X in it?
They look like Marx trains from the 1960’s, however because of condition they have very little actual value. If you have the track that went with these you could sell it if in good shape and get a few dollars, lots of 027 guys are after Marx brand switches because they work better with the older trains.
