I tried scratching my furniture but I still can’t build a kit[sigh]
Nice looking furniture Chip!
Very clever!
Yeah, I scratched my furniture once when I was trying to do a kit.[:)]
Nice work, Chip–which layout (scale)?
HO. The bar is 1/2" tall. The chair seats are about 3/16" high.
We had a cat that liked to scratch furniture.
He didn’t do HO, though.
I’d say we have our own Norm Abram here. I like the chairs.
Speaking of Norm: did anyone see the New Yankee Workshop episode where he did a miniature version of his own workshop building? THIS is a guy who should get into model trains!
Same here, except he did G scale (my wife’s trains).
I scratch build most of the furniture that goes in my buildings, its rather easy to do.
If you can’t scratch build or assemble a kit, how do you build a layout???
…or maybe the HO scale Norm Abram ? Host of the Little Yankee Workshop ?
Can you get HO scale flannel? He didn’t say explicitly what scale he made his miniature version of the New Yankee Workshop, but it looked like it might have been G scale.
Chip
You will need some bottles for the bar; try these from Scale Structures:

They are good quality castings; I have a set for the bar in my layout.
George,
I have some bottles, but not that many. The rest of the scene should be done this weekend. I’m not going to super detail it because it wll only be seen from two feet away through the saloon doors.
I’ll post the rest of it as I go.
