Hi Guys
If you could have one thing for your model railroad right now what would it be?

Hi Guys

A much larger area for the layout including a crew lounge and bath room. My 24 by 38 foot basement ain’t makin’ it . . . boo hoo!
A basement to build a layout in. I get a corner in the forth bedroom{sewing, computer room}. Hope to get one of the other bedrooms when the kids move out{someday that’s not happening}.
DCC.
DEFINITELY a bigger layout room! I’ve got a 225’ mainline squeezed into a 12x24 room, and the three levels are really too shadowboxed for my liking. Now, if I can have a twenty scale mile mainline on a single deck…
Money to be able to continue building!
More space
Gordon
I wi***o be able to use my entire 10’ x 11’ room for railroading.
a hundred acres of land to run some 7 1/2 scale ridable trains instead of just watching them go round and round again no matter the shape of your layout it is still just one big odd shaped loop true with any layout but with this you really get into it as you got to get off to toss that switch or uncouple those cars etc. if i had this i would be estatic

Larry
Loram rail grinder, ribbon rail train, complete tie gang, oh wait you said one didn’t you…
Dido!!!
I was just going to ask the same question…I guess most of us agree that more space would be ideal.
A basement. Minimum width: 60’. I could then run longer passenger consists. One day…
A Trix Big Boy. Or maybe a real one? (hmm, I could start an organisation, and…)
A bigger basement![:D]
Like maybe the one under the Playboy mansion![:p]
Talk about modeling in mountainous terrain!!![swg][swg][swg][swg][swg]
two weeks of uninterupted special time to focus on the layout. No disruptions, Nada. Oh and someone to keep me focused and get coffee. Two weeks would allow me time to lay 30 more feet of track, wire and sort out what I got and ballast all remaining track. Two weeks of no MiL telling me that I’m wasting time with toys[soapbox][|(][banghead]
Experience and skill.
Norm Abram’s New Yankee Workshop.
Oh, and Norm Abrams as a dedicated servant.
And, one more thing… a wife! Preferably one who knows how to solder…
just to get a layout. my dad still hasn’t gone to get the supplies to build the bench work. hopefully he’ll get around to it. we’ve both been busy and it doesn’t help that the lumber yard closes at 5 weeknights and thats what time he gets home. and its closed on weekends.
HEY How about a Roco fully operating “Wreck Train” Only about $350.00 Canadian. A word about my layout. I have 14x 26 ft, Three layers of track (Two working) One under construction. I have Digitrax controls and I’m looking forward to retiring so I can spend more time on the Railroad.
Best Regards to you all.
