Hey all,
Im starting a track plan layout and was wondering if someone could give me a hand with some measurments???
First of all, I really need to know how tall the average HO car is…
Next, a taller HO pickup truck or suv
And finally a tall Semi or Tractor!
Thanx soo much for your help guys!!![:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]
The average HO engine or freight car is around 2" tall, but some might be as tall as 2 1/2".
It’s easy to figure out the size of ANYTHING in HO . . . just divide the real thing by 87.
Most tractor-trailers, for example, are limited to 13 feet 6 inches; that’s 162 inches; in HO an accurate model would be 162/87 or 1.86 inches.
Just divide by 87.
It is easier if you measure in inches first though. [;)]
