Heard about that. Apparently it’s going to UP’s new Heritage park along with a DDA40X. Saw a pic of UP’s DDA40X 6936 pulling the other DDA40X to the park.

way back say like 15-20 or so years ago when both were parked down by the airport, you used to be able walk right up to them, no fences, you could climb on them. i remember a late fall evening that was kind of foggy and misting, my friend, a photo bug, wanted a few pics of BigBoy in the fog. After shotting some film we climbed into the cab and killed a 6-pack. it was great,one of my best railroading memories. just sitt’n there drink’n a beer in the cab of BigBoy park down by the airport. ah good times, good times.
