I just picked up a President’s Choice 0-8-0 complete set ( made by Mehano ), wheels barely have any noticable dirt on them for $25 on Kijiji, so there’s always that option.

Finally, what is the proper pronunciation of “Mikado?” I’ve always used the Gilbert and Sullivan version, Mi-KA-do. But I’ve been told the American railroad engines are called MIK-a-do. Any takers?

It is pronounced Mike. Or, during WWII, MacArthur.

I snagged a 2-8-2 Mikado Nov 18 2008 at Chinook hobby , not sure if they would have a 4-6-4 or any 2-8-2 's remaining?

I stopped by there last week and purchased a Burlington Route 4-6-4 which runs great. They have a couple of Mikados still in stock along with three other 4-6-4’s.
