I use code 100 on my main line, but code 83 in my yards and engine terminal. I’ve got the IHC USRA 4-8-2 and have had no problems with flange depth in the yards. However, the 4-6-2 is basically an older production, so I don’t know whether or not IHC has changed the flange depth closer to NMRA RP25 from the older more European depth. If it has, you should have no problems. If they haven’t, you might have a little problem on the turnouts, but the IHC wheel depths were never as deep as the old Rivarossi NEM standards. Actually, I think you should be okay.
