I just received an IHC H.O. steam loco in the mail(IHC stock number 51108-26022) and can not figuire out how to get the wire harness out of the tender, I can see the harness but don’t want to damage it by pulling on it or is that the correct way? The instructions don’t cover how to take the wire harness out. Bought this item from Historic Rails.
I would appreciate any help please!

Very carefully pry the plug out of the socket using a jeweler’s flat-blade screwdriver by inserting the blade in either edge and working the plug out just a very small amount. Move the screwdriver to the other edge and pry it out only slightly. Keep alternating between the two edges until the plug separates from the socket. DON’T pull on the wires.

The proper way to disconect is to grab the harness/cables as a group and pull the connector loose with light, steady, pressure. Do not tug on a single wire. Using the screw driver can damage the connector housing, bend pins, if you are not carefull. The images shown are valid for all miniature or sub-miniature connectors.
