I have always told all of you that I’m a O gauge model railroader… Well, the truth it I’m a HO modeler, I just thought about getting into it, got the B&O and all, but I’m just a simple HO person now. [:D]
I knew that from your post over on modelrailroad side from way back . I just figured you might be trying both out. as some do .
Well, no mod for you now. But you’ve got your own place so you probably don’t care.
Don’t worry about it. I was all over the board. HO,N,O,and G Have sets in all gauges. Just gave the N gauge to the nieghbors kid. Still have a huge box of HO at the mother in laws. And the G is packed away in the basement.
Repent now! You still have time to save yourself! [:D]
Poor Grayson…seduced by the DARK SIDE.
It’s all good, kid. Just don’t get caught up in the FLAME WARS going on the MR boards right now.
Thats for ever happening over there sorry to say I always hear about that going on there.
Don’t worry, it’s a kind of evolution. First h0, then after you get bored with it, 0…[:D]
Come back to the light! I started in N - like Philaknight sez, there’s lots out there in all the scales.
Started in O when I was a tyke, went to HO for about 30 years, dabbled in N, flirted with S then regained my senses and I’m back with O gauge. [:D]
Grayson, don’t sweat the small stuff. Back in the early 60s I started modelling in HO,
dabbled in N and started in O scale in 1975, and been there since.
To each their own, and there’s a Scale out there for everybody.
This reminds me of me! Only I did my flirting with G. All the rest, I could’ve written it. I too was in HO for a long time, 33 years, then I finally came around.

[:O] WHAT!!!
Cue the Imperial March<<<<<<<<<<<(re: Darth Vadar)[:-^]
Somewhere in between I collected HO for a year, Had seom track And thomas the tank engien stuff, If you look on youtube you can acctually watch the series I made with them if you type in Billbarman, Then I realized that lionels were just better in every way, I didnt really like how small the HO ones were.
The more I play with my “O27” trains and wish I had more room, I think back to my 50 years of “HO” when ‘space’ was never a problem. Can’t forget those ‘glory’ days. Whatever gauge, enjoy the present and dream. [:)]
Grayson the only answer to your situation is to build a nice layout sceniced with big trees that could pass for huge ho trees or avarage O scale trees and then you could have a libray of buildings in both O and Ho to switch out depending on what scale you feel like running[8D] How is this possible??? simple use ho track and run Ho and On30 which is O scale narrow gauge that is the same width as ho track[(-D]
Okay lets really confuse him now the other alternative is go with O 2 rail and put HO inside of it (sorry can’t have switches or cross tracks thou) and then you could if you really got bored have the O gauge 2 rail run down the HO and if you really wanted to put n inside of the ho but thats a whole nother story lol .
Just have fun greyson but in honesty you could have all 3 and swap them out and the buildings from time to time till you figured which you really like best.
Confession time??? OK! I’ve nothing to confess really, but want to admit I’m not an O scale or O gauge modeler---- yet! I have, however, had experience with O and S tinplate back in the 40’s-50’s time zone as a kid. Also had no elaborate layout with all the operating cars and such, just a Lionel Scout set. That set had a short life as I remember. I had this great drive to find out how things worked and that Scout set became a card board box of train parts I couldn’t get back together again and my lower back side became— well, let’s just say it was painful to sit down. Anyhow, I have this urge for those old trains again and started “hanging out” here and haveing a ball seeing the old trains and knowledge you all share with us here. I do have a few HO scale locos and cars I use on our club layout and we do have an O tinplate there also. So, one of these days, I’ll be laying track on the floor, and haveing fun again. Thanks to all here for shareing with guys like me. Ken
If you are willing to give up the switches and crossings, you can also run HO on 2 of the 3 rails of 3 rail. Just make sure to switch the power supply connections in between running sessions. HO motors don’t like AC and most O gauge don’t like DC!
