The last paragraph is a doozy. When do plans represent “crowning glories” of a legacy?
With all the new transit systems being built in this country, why isn’t there a US company stepping up to the plate? Also, why isn’t there a standard light rail design for these new systems - such as the PCC cars in the 50’s? That would reduce costs tremendously - by having all systems conform to the same designs.
Nothing about President Obama can be considered a “crowning glory”.
