Wow! This looks to be a special weekend! I’d love to see the E5A and F7 trains!

Why send this article/announcement to me on Monday, September 17th? Just how is this supposed to notify me of the event so that I could attend?

I arrived about noon Sunday. The heavyweight coach train was running with BN 5383 instead of BN-1. CNW 411 was just tying onto the bilevel train and getting ready to bring it out. The caboose train was not running. CRT 1268 and 1797 were running (until the second time they malfunctioned). CTA 22 and 41 were not running. The Zephyr was running. The 2 Chicago streetcars were running (but I think one of them started running after I got there). The North Shore cars were not running. Overall, I had a good time.

This ia the first I have heard of IRM’s weekend plans. I would like to have visited it, if I had known about it.

I tend to agree with Mr. Weisseg… The information might have better suited its’ purpose on last Mondays’ release. Yet,… Although I don’t live via my Blackberry, I-phone or other… I try to place a value on the internet. I do have IRM set as one of my favorites… Along with several other key museums. I do check them periodically against my work schedule and do plan visits accordingly… Next up, a Fall trip to North Western Wisconsin to check on Canadian Nationals proposed rebuild/upgrade of the former Soo Line/Wisconsin Central line between Ladysmith and Cameroon as well as sight seeing along the Wisconsin Northern (Chippewa, Rice Lake, Cameroon, Baron).
