Every time I logged on I got the same exact first page. Couldn’t reply, couldn’t post…Thought I ticked Bergie off but I know I didn’t. Thanks to the few folks I E-mailed that gave me advise but nothing worked. Finally bit the bullet and reformated the whole system and now it works.
So…What did I miss???Anything new???Bring me up to speed!!!

Let’s see…MR is merging with RMC. Norfolk Southern is selling it’s half of Conrail to Wal-Mart. EMD has announced it’s intention to market hybrid-powered baby strollers with safety cabs. Other than that, not much new here.
Glad you’re back. You didn’t miss much, BNSF has ordered 4-8-4s from ALCo, Wal*Mart is buying CSX, NS it going to retire all diesels and build some more class A 2-6-6-4s but other than that, nothing has happened[swg][swg][swg][swg]

Was it the MR page? Your normal home page? Some undesireable advertising site? Sounds like your browser was hijacked. LSPFIX might have repaired it without all the trouble. Hijack-This can help, too, but it takes some learning.
Or, maybe not. My daughter got her machine so virused up it couldn’t surf at all. I had to reload the OS. Sometimes nothing helps.

There must be a new internet bug going around, as my home machine doesnt even crawl on the web, it more or less hobbles. Thank goodness the work puter and the girlfriends puter both sail!!!

You should have called me when you were in Columbia. You could have read all the sense and non-sense on my computer. I had noticed I hadn’t seen anything from you for a while, but didn’t realize it was 3 weeks! I guess I was numb from 3 bouts of grandkid sitting in 2 weeks. GLAD YOUR BACK! I guess you will just have to read all the stuff to catch up.
And AlexRail has connected Sydney australia to Washington D.C… And are using brand new sd7’s on the line, with f and e units.
Had the General Discussion page saved in my favorites. The pages never changed. Couldn’t see any new posts or replies. Even if I manually signed onto the forum, I still got the same unchanged pages. Same thing happenened to my NOAA radar page. Got the same storm cloud sweep for 3 weeks. (weird)

Loathar, Wondered where you been… Sorry you had so much “fun” with your puter. It can be so frustrating when things go wrong. You didn’t miss too much. couple good threads about things like whether Tony Koester is the savior of the hobby or a complete &$**#@. and where you can get depleted uranium. Some guy thinks DCC is boring. (Thats up to 3 pages now.) And a couple of MTH employees have let us know that DCS is far better than anything else out there. Well that does it for the front page news. Oh, I almost forgot UP is suing somebody… Of course there has also been many trully interesting threads that can now be found on page 13…
